West Arnhem Shire Council (WASC): June 2013 June 2014

The West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC) has an Aged Care Services office located in Jabiru in the
western part of Arnhem Land Northern Territory and is the approved provider for:
- Gunbalanya Aged Care Service
- Kakadu Aged Care Services
- Warruwi Aged Care Services
- Minjilang.Aged Care Services
The purpose of this project was to support the above services in the categories of Care Delivery,
Governance, Business Management and Quality Delivery. The objectives of this initial project were:
- Review the consistent service delivery standards across all sites
- Provide the staff and management of WARC with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding
of the requirements for the Community Care Common Standards (CCCS) relating to Home Care
Packages, HACC and the National and state based legislation
- Provide strategies and training to Management and Staff at WARC aged care services to implement
the consistent service delivery standards across all sites
The project was implemented on time, on budget, and with outstanding client feedback.

West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC): June 2014 Dec 2014 (Phase Two)
The second phase of the project focussed on:
The provision to WARC staff and management of a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of
the requirements for the Community Care Common Standards (CCCS) relating to Home Care
Packages, HACC and the National and state based legislation
Development and implement a Strategic Plan that enabled a cohesive strategic vision for all WARC
aged care services and in turn ensured quality aged care services were provided to care recipients.

WARC3: June 2015 June 2016 (Phase Three and work in progress)

The focus of this third phase of the project was to assist WARC Aged Care Service to understand
their roles and responsibilities as an Approved Aged Care Provider, develop and implement financial
and business systems to support the provision of care services on a CDC basis, assist in the
implementation of their strategic plan, and conduct a post- CDC implementation review.

Dyirri-Bang-Gu (DBG) Feb 2015 Dec 2015 (work in progress)


Dyirri-Bang-Gu (DBG) Aged Care Service is located at Griffith NSW and is the approved provider of
twenty (20) Home Care places which assists older Aboriginal people to maintain independence in
their own homes. The service provides assistance & support such as personal care, preparation of
meals, laundry, housework, transport (medical/shopping) & social activities.
A service coordinator and provider of Aged Care Services in the Local Government Area of Griffith,
including Carrathool, Hay and Murrumbidgee; DBG is required to ensure that all individual services
are operating effectively and to expected standards as required under the Aged Care Act and to their
funding and service agreements.
The purpose of this project is to support the above services in the categories of Care Delivery,
Governance, Business and Financial Management and Quality Delivery. The objectives were similar
to WARC see above.
