Anleitungen zur Installation von SPSS Statistics 17, einschlielich der
Hardware- und Software-Mindestanforderungen, befinden sich auf der CD-ROM im

Eine Liste der Neuerungen in SPSS Statistics finden Sie unter "Neuerungen in
SPSS Statistics 17.0" in der Online-Hilfe oder in dem Begleitschreiben zu
Ihrer Software.
Speichern von Stata- und SAS-Dateien mit Multi-Byte-Variablennamen. Wenn
Datendateien in Stata- oder SAS-Format gespeichert werden, werden
Variablennamen, die Multi-Byte-Zeichen (z. B. japanische oder chinesische
Schriftzeichen) enthalten, in Variablennamen der Form Vnnn umgewandelt, wobei
nnn ein ganzzahliger Wert ist.
Dimensions-Datenquellen. Beim Einlesen von Dimensions-Datenquellen
("Dimensions-Daten ffnen" im Menu Datei oder mit dem Befehl GET DATA
/TYPE=OLEDB), kann es vorkommen, dass nichtenglische Daten nicht korrekt
gelesen werden. Um nichtenglische Dimensions-Datenquellen in SPSS Statistics
zu verwenden, speichern Sie die Daten in der Quellanwendung im SPSS
Statistics-Format.
Dimensions DNOM-Bibliotheken. Diese Version von SPSS Statistics untersttzt
keine Dimensions DNOM-Bibliotheken Version 3.5.0.1 oder niedriger. Bitte
verwenden Sie das Dimensions Component Pack Version 4.0 (das in der SPSS
Statistics-Installation enthalten ist) oder ein DNOM-Produkt Version 4.0 oder
hher.
Japanische Schriftzeichen im Treiber-Setup fr Data Direct. Japanische
Schriftzeichen knnen im Namen oder in der Beschreibung von Datenquellen in
der Version der Data Direct Datenbanktreiber, die mit SPSS Statistics fr
Windows ausgeliefert werden, nicht angegeben werden. Data Direct besttigt,
dass dies ein Problem ist, und plant, eine Abhilfe herauszugeben.
SPSS Statistics luft nicht in Verbindung mit Altiris Vision User Module 3.1.
Es besteht ein Speicherkonflikt mit Microsoft DirectDraw und SPSS Statistics,
wenn Altiris Vision installiert ist und die Option "Run before logon"
verwendet wird. Um dieses Problem zu beheben, darf Altiris Vision mit dieser
Option nicht installiert sein verwenden Sie stattdessen "Add to startup
menu" oder "Run manually". Altiris Vision muss deinstalliert und neu
installiert werden, wenn eine Installation mit der Option "Run before logon"
vorliegt und Probleme auftreten.
Im Unicode-Modus funktionieren SET LOCALE-Spezifikationen der allgemeinen Form
SET LOCALE=Sprache (z. B. SET LOCALE English) nicht, wenn SPSS Statistics in
einem Verzeichnispfad installiert ist, der andere Zeichen als 7-Bit-ASCIIZeichen enthlt. Es gibt zwei mgliche Lsungen fr dieses Problem:

1. Deinstallieren Sie SPSS Statistics und installieren Sie es erneut in einem

Verzeichnispfad, der nur 7-Bit-ASCII-Zeichen enthlt.
2. Verwenden Sie SET LOCALE-Spezifikationen der allgemeinen Form SET
LOCALE=Sprache_Land, wobei "Sprache" und "Land" die Abkrzungen aus zwei
Buchstaben sind. Beispiel: SET LOCALE=en_us oder SET LOCALE=ja_jp.
Die Abkrzungen mit zwei Buchstaben orientieren sich an der Norm ISO 639-1:

Funktionen, die nicht mehr untersttzt werden
* Es gibt keinen eigenen Diagramm-Editor fr "interaktive" Diagramme.
Diagramme, die mit den veralteten Dialogen fr "interaktive" Diagramme und mit
dem Befehl IGRAPH erzeugt wurden, werden in demselben Format wie alle anderen
Diagramme erstellt und in demselben Diagramm-Editor bearbeitet.
* Einige Funktionen in den veralteten Dialogen fr "interaktive" Diagramme und
in der IGRAPH-Befehlssyntax sind nicht mehr verfgbar.
* Der Text-Viewer ist nicht mehr verfgbar.
* Viewer-Dateien, die mit lteren Versionen von SPSS Statistics erzeugt wurden
(.spo-Dateien), knnen in SPSS Statistics 17 nicht geffnet werden.
* Die Option Maps ist nicht mehr verfgbar.
* Fr die veralteten Verfahren in den Optionen Trends und Tables sind
Dialogfenster nicht mehr verfgbar. Bei Trends betrifft dies die Befehle AREG,
ARIMA und EXSMOOTH. Bei Tables betrifft dies den Befehl TABLES. Wenn Sie eine
Lizenz fr eine dieser Optionen haben, die die veralteten Verfahren enthlt,
dann wird die Befehlssyntax fr diese Befehle weiterhin untersttzt.
Bekannte Probleme
Grafik
* Verwendung von Prozent als Statistik in Diagrammen, die mit dem Dialog
"Diagrammerstellung" oder der GPL-Syntax erstellt wurden. Es gibt verschiedene
Auswahlmglichkeiten fr den Basiswert, der zur Berechnung der Prozentwerte
verwendet wird. Wenn Sie als Basis den Gesamtwert jeder Legendenkategorie
whlen, dann ist die tatschliche Basis der Gesamtwert aller Daten.
Datenzugriff und Daten-Editor
* OLE DB und Dimensions-Datenquellen lesen. OLE DB und Dimensions-Datenquellen
sind nur in Windows 2000 und Windows XP verfgbar. Das Dimensions-Datenmodell
und der OLE DB Datenzugriff knnen auf nicht untersttzten Plattformen nicht
installiert werden. Auf nicht untersttzten Betriebssystemen ist OLE DB
Datenquellen im Datenbank-Assistenten nicht verfgbar, Dimensions-Daten lesen
(im Men Datei) ist nicht verfgbar und GET DATA TYPE=OLEDB erzeugt eine
Fehlermeldung.
* Oracle OLE DB Datenquellen lesen. Wenn GET DATA /TYPE=OLEDB verwendet wird,
um Oracle Datenquellen zu lesen, sollten die SQL-Befehle keine EignerInformation enthalten. Zum Beispiel: SELECT * FROM "Eigner"."Tabelle" liest
nur die Namen der Felder und keine Daten. Um die Tabelle korrekt einzulesen,
muss die Eigner-Information weggelassen werden, wie in SELECT * FROM "Tabelle"

* SPSS Inc. Connect ODBC-Treiber fr SQL Server. Der zu verwendende SPSS Inc.
Connect ODBC-Treiber hngt von Ihrer Version von SQL Server ab. Benutzen Sie
den Treiber "SPSS Inc. OEM 5.0 SQL Server Wire Protocol" fr SQL Server
Versionen 7.x und 2000. Beachten Sie, dass Sie den Microsoft SQL Server
Treiber fr SQL Server Versionen 6.x und hher verwenden knnen.
* Der ODBC-Treiber "SPSS Inc. OEM 5.2 DB2 Wire Protocol", der im SPSS Inc.
Data Access Pack enthalten ist, ist nicht kompatibel mit DB2 9.1. Sobald
aktualisierte Treiber verfgbar sind, knnen Sie diese herunterladen unter
http://www.spss.com/drivers/clientSPSS.htm.
* Oracle and SequeLink Server. Wenn Sie den SequeLink Server verwenden, knnen
mit Oracle 8 eventuell Probleme auftreten. Benutzen Sie stattdessen Connect
ODBC. Connect ODBC ist im SPSS Inc. Data Access Pack enthalten.
* Verwendung von Datendateien, die in SAS-Formaten gespeichert wurden, in SAS
JMP und im SAS Viewer. Datendateien, die aus SPSS Statistics in verschiedenen
SAS-Formaten gespeichert wurden, sollten in SAS funktionieren. Es gibt
bekannte Probleme bei der Verwendung von SAS-Dateien, die in SPSS Statistics
gespeichert wurden, mit dem SAS Viewer und SAS JMP 5 - diese Anwendungen haben
einen anderen Mechanismus zum Lesen von Dateien; dieser ist nicht derselbe
bzw. nicht so stabil wie der in SAS verwendete.
* Beschrnkungen fr Dateinamen fr in SAS-Format gespeicherte Datendateien.
Folgender Auszug ist aus SAS JMP 5 README entnommen: "Double-byte characters
should not be used in filenames when writing SAS files [from within JMP]. This
is a limitation of the SAS local data provider that is to be corrected in
version 9 of SAS". Dies gilt auch fr SAS-Dateien, die in SPSS Statistics
gespeichert wurden.
* SAS Formate und Beschrnkungen bei Lngen von Zeichenketten,(Strings). Wenn
SPSS Statistics verwendet wird, um SAS-Datendateien zu ffnen, kann es
vorkommen, dass String-Werte, die lnger sind als 255 Bytes, nicht eingelesen
werden. Wenn Ihre Daten Werte enthalten, die lnger sind als 255 Bytes, liest
SPSS Statistics nur die ersten 255 Bytes.
* Text Wizard Data Cache. Der Text-Assistent bietet eine optionale
Einstellung, die die Daten, die er importiert, automatisch zwischenspeichert.
Standardmig ist Zwischenspeicherung aktiviert und der Assistent erzeugt eine
Kopie der gesamten Datendatei. Wenn Zwischenspeicherung deaktiviert wird, hat
SPSS Statistics keinen Zugriff auf die gesamte Datendatei die Originaldaten
werden bei Bedarf erneut eingelesen und die Gesamtanzahl der Datenstze ist
nicht bekannt. Wenn die Gesamtanzahl der Datenstze nicht bekannt ist,
arbeiten die Funktionen Gehe zu Fall, Kopieren und Einfgen nicht wie im
Daten-Editor erwartet. Das Problem kann behoben werden, indem im Datei-Men
der Daten-Zwischenspeicher aktiviert wird.
* Verwenden der Syntax zum Einlesen von Daten ber ODBC. Wenn Sie Syntax
verwenden, um Daten aus einer Datenbank ber ODBC einzulesen, empfehlen wir,
den Daten-Zwischenspeicher zu verwenden. Das Zwischenspeichern stellt sicher,
dass bei jedem Datendurchlauf die Reihenfolge der Datenstze erhalten bleibt.
Es stellt ebenfalls sicher, dass Ihre Auswertung nicht von Aktualisierungen
der Datenbank beeinflusst wird, die whrend der Befehlsausfhrung erfolgen. Um
den Zwischenspeicher zu aktivieren, fgen Sie einen CACHE-Befehl unmittelbar
nach dem Befehl GET DATA in die Syntax ein.

* SQL Server ODBC Treiber. Wenn Sie das SPSS Inc. OEM 5.2 SQL Server Wire
Protocol verwenden, sollten Sie die Treiber-Einstellungen ndern, um
sicherzustellen, dass in Anfhrungszeichen gesetzte Feld- und Tabellennamen in
SQL-Befehlen, die vom Datenbank-Assistenten oder dem Assistenten fr
Datenbankexport erzeugt werden oder in den Befehlen GET DATA und SAVE
TRANSLATE angegeben werden, richtig gehandhabt werden. Aktivieren Sie bei den
erweiterten Treiber-Einstellungen die Option "Bezeichnungen in
Anfhrungszeichen zulassen". Im Modus Lokale Analyse knnen Sie die TreiberEinstellungen ndern, indem Sie den ODBC Datenquellen Administrator von
Windows verwenden, den Sie von SPSS Statistics aus erreichen knnen, und zwar
ber die Schaltflche "ODBC Datenquelle hinzufgen" im Datenbank-Assistenten
oder im Assistenten fr Datenbankexport. Bezglich des Datenbankzugriffs im
Modus Verteilte Analyse (mit SPSS Statistics Server) kontaktieren Sie bitte
Ihren Datenbank-Administrator.
Auswertungsverfahren
* Lineare gemischte Modelle. Im Dialog "Zufllige Effekte" wird die
Schaltflche "Weiter" nicht aktiv, wenn die Option "Konstanten Term
einschlieen" markiert ist, aber keine Faktoren oder Kovariaten als zufllige
Effekte spezifiziert sind. Um also einen RANDOM-Unterbefehl zu erzeugen, der
nur den konstanten Term enthlt, muss dieser Unterbefehl der letzte sein, der
im Dialog "Zufllige Effekte" angegeben wird. Wenn mehrere Unterbefehle
angegeben werden, von denen der letzte nur den konstanten Term enthlt, wird
diese Angabe nur dann erzeugt, wenn "Weiter" angeklickt wird, whrend man bei
dieser letzten Angabe bleibt, auer wenn diese letzte Angabe auch eine
Subjekt-Kombination enthlt.
Sonstiges
* Kunden, die den PES Adapter lizensiert haben und von SPSS Statistics 14
upgraden, haben mglicherweise Probleme beim Speichern und Wiederverwenden von
Complex Samples Plandateien. Wenn Probleme auftreten, sollten Sie die MIME-Typ
Mappings fr Complex Samples Plandateien neu definieren. ffnen Sie den
Predictive Enterprise Administrator (http://<pes server>/config/mimeManager)
und lschen Sie alle bestehenden Definitionen fr Dateien vom Typ csplan und
csaplan. Dann definieren Sie die Mappings fr die zwei Dateitypen neu und
verwenden Sie einen einzelnen Bindestrich (-) anstelle eines doppelten (--) in
der MIME-Typ Definition.
* Speicherstelle fr den temporren Ordner
Die Speicherstelle fr den temporren Ordner, die auf der Registerkarte
"Datei-Speicherstellen" im Dialogfeld "Optionen" angegeben wird, bewirkt in
SPSS Statistics 17.0 keine nderung der Speicherstelle fr temporre
Datendateien, die von SPSS Statistics erzeugt werden. Die Speicherstelle fr
temporre Datendateien kann durch eine Einstellung fr eine Umgebungsvariable
im Betriebssystem festgelegt werden.
In Windows prft SPSS Statistics die folgenden Umgebungsvariablen, um zu
bestimmen, wo temporre Dateien abgelegt werden:

Wenn keine von diesen definiert ist, verwendet SPSS Statistics c:
* Syntaxdateien knnen in Unicode oder in der lokalen Code Page (lokale
Codierung) gespeichert werden. Wenn Sie eine Datei im Syntax-Fenster ffnen,
erkennt SPSS Statistics in den meisten Fllen die korrekte Codierung. Manchmal
tritt ein Irrtum auf. Wenn Sie drei merkwrdige Zeichen am Anfang der Datei
sehen, schlieen Sie die Datei und ffnen Sie sie erneut mit der Angabe
Unicode. Wenn der Inhalt wirr aussieht, versuchen Sie eine andere Codierung.
Wenn es immer noch fehlerhaft aussieht, dann unterscheidet sich mglicherweise
Ihre Umgebung von derjenigen, in der die Datei gespeichert wurde. Verwenden
Sie einen geeigneten SET LOCALE Befehl, um dies zu beheben.
* Doppel-Byte-Zeichen werden in PDF-Dateien, die von SPSS Statistics erzeugt
werden, nicht richtig dargestellt.
* Wenn Sie im Men-Editor die Schaltflche "Durchsuchen" verwenden, um eine
Syntax- oder Skript-Datei fr einen benutzerdefinierten Menpunkt auszuwhlen,
ist der Eintrag im Feld "Dateiname" in Anfhrungszeichen. Sie sollten diese
Anfhrungszeichen entfernen, sonst wird die Datei nicht gefunden, wenn dieser
Menpunkt verwendet wird. Bei Syntax-Dateien zeigt sich dieses Problem in Form
einer allgemeinen Warnung "Start nicht mglich ['Dateiname']". Bei SkriptDateien wird folgende Meldung im Viewer-Fenster angezeigt: "Es ist keine
Sprache konfiguriert, um dieses Skript auszufhren. Das Skript kann nicht
ausgefhrt werden."
* Citrix- und Sax BASIC-Fehler. Wenn SPSS Statistics als Citrix-Anwendung
luft, kann es zu einer Sax Basic-Fehlermeldung kommen, wenn man versucht, ein
Auswertungsverfahren (Prozedur) auszufhren. Das Problem kann behoben werden,
indem bei den SPSS Statistics-Optionen auf der Registerkarte "Skripte" die
Stelle der Datei mit globalen Prozeduren editiert wird.
