Evidence of Rotation
Blades bent opposite of rotation
Perpendicular scratches on the front
side of the blades
Curling or bending of tips
Dings and dents on leading
edges
Torsional damage to the
prop shaft or attachment
fittings

Damage and RPM

Damage depends on forward velocity


could bend either way
Constant speed

Only confirms the RPM setting

Feathering
Geared to high pitch usually where it is in
wreckage
Exception is PT-6 - if oil pressure is lost will
auto feather
