The Italian Renaissance


Renaissance- means new birth, a restart
1350-1600, started in Italy with educated people,

spread into the rest of Europe.

3 Important Things about the Renaissance:


1. Urban Society- powerful, educated cities, money
-enjoyment of material things
- Secular- world viewpoint
2. Age of Recovery from disasters in the past
ex. The plague
-revival of politics/art
3. New view of human beings
-(painters, sculptor, inventor, teachers)
