One day I saw that the

chalk
boards
needed
cleaning so I asked the
children who was going to
help me. Everyone was
busy except Arrsalan and
Adam so I asked them to
please help me. Arrsalan
was quite thrilled so I gave
him the instructions on how
to clean them. He had to
wet the cloth and after
wiping each side, lay them separately so they can dry. Then he had to
turn them over and clean the other sides. While we were cleaning, I
asked him if he likes to clean. He said he did and that he helps him
mother clean his toys and room at home. Excellent work Arrsalan!
Arrsalan was learning to:
1. Keep his things clean and tidy. This is an important Islamic
quality as our Prophet says: Cleanliness is part of our Faith
2. Learn to contribute to the centre. Arrsalan has been at An-Nur
for over a year so he is part of the centres family.
3. Appreciate how much hard work is important in Islam. As it is
said in the Holy Quran:
That man can have nothing but what he strives for; That (the
fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: Then will he be
rewarded with a reward complete. (An-Najm 53:39-41)
