PARTICIPATION: Students must be active participants in class. This includes taking good
notes, working in teams, communicating with the teacher and completing all class work.
Homework will be assigned and will need to be completed by the next class period unless
otherwise stated.
NOTEBOOK: Notebooks must be brought to class EVERYDAY.
QUIZZES AND TESTS: Students should expect regular quizzes and tests in my class.
Corrections may be made for a better grade if the original grade is below a 70%. Please be
aware that corrections can only be completed one time for full credit. Re-takes can be completed
in the mornings from 8:30 to 9:30. This is also a time when students can come up for extra help
or to work on make-up assignments. Students must have a written pass from me to enter the
building.
ATTENDANCE: Missing a day every once in a while will not hurt students. However, students
should be mindful that we are on a block schedule. This means we cover two days worth of
material each class period. It is the students responsibility to come to me to find out what was
missed and how an assignment can be made up.
GRADING SCALE: A 90-100; B 80-89; C 70-79; D 60-69; F 0-59

devices. The only exception to this is when the device is being used at the teachers
direction.
READING
All students are required to have a book that is age appropriate with them at all times.
Students should read it when they have finished an assignment or test early.
