A letter was received from our office which came from your office calling the attention of certain Mr.
Luis R. Alvarado, the General Manger of LAPANDAY Diversified Products Corporation located in
Purok 20, Aglayan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon; this was regarding a complaint on improper water
exit of the latters turnouts/outlet earth canals of the pineapple plantation located in San Vicente,
Sumilao, Bukidnon. It was stated in the complaint letter, that the water spills over and saturating the
earth in several portions of the mountainous area in Damay which caused the collapse of the rock/soil
and spilled over downstream along the Sayre Highway Alae-Kisolon during the tropical storm
Seniang. Thus, the Office of the District Engineer, Bukidnon 3rd District conducted a survey in the
contested pineapple plantation, and was confirmed that the complaint is tenable. The Office of the
District Engineer posted a request inviting other concerned offices with their representatives to
conduct a joint resurvey on the contested plantation.
In lieu with this, I would like to request the Office of the District Engineer of Bukidnon 3 rd
District, the MMT-Bukidnon, and the LGU of Manolo to conduct a joint inspection/survey in the
contested pineapple plantation of L APANDAY, wherein each office will conduct an inspection/survey
based on their area of concern, after which, the representative of each surveying office is required to
submit a written report based on their findings during the inspection.

Your immediate action with this regard is earnestly requested.
