Our Parish Theme for 2015:
Fuelled By Word and Spirit
Our theme poster says:
If we have the Word without the Spirit
. . . we tend to dry up;
If we have the Spirit without the Word
. . . we tend to blow up;
If we have the Word and the Spirit
. . . we tend to grow up and get fired up!
The scripture verse for this year is:
- God is taking care of his people. (Luke 7:16c);
And our theme prayer is:
- God we praise you! In Jesus Christ your
Living Word, you have come to show us how
you take care of all people; by your Holy Spirit
you guide us and all those whose hope is
refreshed in you.
Fuelled by Word and Spirit, fill our hearts with
love for you and all your people, energize us for
the ministry and mission to which you call us,
and flow through us each day.
We ask this in Jesus name, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God forever
and ever.
As we continue to use these resources, may we
all find ourselves growing in Christ and getting
fired up to serve Christs mission!

Ministry Covenant
All Parishes in our Diocese were invited to enter into
a covenant for the strengthening and growth of our
ministry and mission.
To STRENGTHEN AN EXISTING MINISTRY we will
focus on community partnerships by continuing with

coffeehouses, connecting with and serving folk

through our Thrift Store and renewing our efforts in
the many ongoing community programs in which we
engage.
With respect to STEPPING OUT IN FAITH , we will
focus on loving and being present to people in
unfamiliar places by seeking to develop a mutual,
sharing relationship with a community in the Council
of the North.
See the Stewardship Team update below for a bit
more information about this.

Stewardship Team
The Stewardship Team is having a busy year!
Here are some highlights:
We planned the years calendar of activities
including six coffeehouses. A huge thanks to all of
the performers as well as those who baked treats
or helped with setup and take down at the
coffeehouses we've held so far.
A revised ministry plan for 2015 is available in the
Ministry Centre. We also developed and
committed to the Ministry Covenant based on the
Diocesan Ministry Task Force Survey, also posted
on the bulletin board of the Ministry Centre. As
part of our commitment we planned a new
outreach ministry to donate to the Pikangikum
Water Project to supply clean water and indoor
plumbing for a northern First Nations community.
Parishioners and community members enjoyed a
pancake supper with ample pancakes, sausages and
maple syrup. Many much appreciated helpers made
this event a success.

The team studied and is using The S Word, a
