Assessors Marks- Overall

This presentation on guitar includes a nice variety of pieces, though they
are not always comfortably within the students performing capabilities,
and falls within the required length for SL solo performance. There is an
understanding of style, particularly in the piece by Llobert, where there is
an understanding of the texture and a successful highlighting of the
melody. However, the sometimes cautious tempo does little to enhance the
style of some of the pieces. There is an attempt at communicating the
music to the audience, though this is not always effective because of
technical challenges.
The musical flow is sometimes interrupted because of difficulties with the
technical challenges (for example, in Romance). Although some notes are
not cleanly produced, generally a clean articulation is presented (including
harmonics where required), but there are some slips of pitch and
misreading of notes at times.
