A. Definition of Terms
1. Dogmatic prone to expressing strongly held beliefs and opinions
2. Covetousness an unreasonably strong desire to obtain and keep money
3. Materialism devotion to material wealth and possessions at the expense of
spiritual or intellectual values
4. Retaliatory to deliberately harm somebody in response or revenge for a harm
he or she has done
5. Systematic carried out in a methodical and organized manner
B. Summary
1. Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God. Prayer is loving
conversation with God.
2. There are five requirements to have an effective prayer life. These will be
our ladder towards spiritual achievement.
3. The 1st is family unity. Family is the basic unit of society and this is where
we get out first life skills and everything there is that is instilled in our minds and
hearts.
4. Therefore, to have an effective prayer life, family unity and
encouragement must be firm. Most problems regarding effective prayer life is
affected by this.
5. The 2nd is healthy personal relationships. Before we pray, we must find
peace with our friends, family and all.
6. Let us pray with a soft heart and a focused mind. We must not pray with a
heart that is against someone.
7. The 3rd is liberal attitude toward God. Let us be liberal or free from
worldly and earthly desires and think not of anything, but of God.
8. The 4th is life of forgiveness. This must always be our prayer, for we
always sin and may God forbid us to sin again.
9. Lastly, reading the Word of God. The Sacred Scriptures is the Spiritual
Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
10. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of prayer. Let us
participate actively during the Holy Mass.
