Introduction
Introduction to Physics and Chemistry is a two semester course, with physics concepts being covered in the first
semester, and chemistry concepts in the second semester. Content will be addressed through a variety of
methods, and students can expect to often times work in small groups for assignments and laboratories. This
course is the stepping stone for further studies in both physics and chemistry, and is designed to cover a wide
range of topics.

Classroom Procedures
Upon entering the classroom students MUST do the following:
1. Turn in assigned homework into the designated tray at the beginning of the period.
2. Turn off or silence cellular and/or electronic devices.
3. Sharpen pencils before class starts.
4. Obtain notebook and other supplies (as needed) from designated area.
5. Sit down immediately.
6. Start writing or working on todays assignment on board.
Pass Policy
Students will be able to leave the room if given teacher permission. Everyone will be responsible for signing out
on the hall pass log and obtaining a physical pass from the teacher. You are not allowed to leave 15 minutes after
class has started or 15 minutes prior to class ending.
