Question: What does my $10 membership go toward?
Answer: Your $10 family membership supports a variety of needs, including:

$2,000 in scholarships for students in financial need for the 8th Grade Washington DC Trip
Funding technology improvements: $3,000 budgeted annually
Subsidizing student field trips: $1,500 per grade
Library Fund: $500 per year
Nurses Office Supplies: $200 annually
Requests from teachers for items not in DMS budget, i.e., PE equipment, art supplies, school
supplies, etc.
Scholarships (2- $500) for graduating DHS seniors: must be former DMS students
Annual Welcome to DMS Family Dessert Night for 5th Graders

Question: If I become a member, do I have to attend meetings?

Answer: No, but meetings are short (45-60 minutes) and only occur 8 times annually.
Question: If I come to meetings, will I be asked to volunteer?
Answer: No, we understand everyone is busy, but many hands make light work.
Question: If I suggest an idea, will I be asked to coordinate the project?
Answer: No, but if you are passionate about the project, we would love your help!
