Theory:-The induction motor works on the principle of mutual induction

(faradays law of electromagnetism,second law).
The starter of motor having three ohase winding and rotor of the motor have
short-circuited bars of copper rods.

Procedure:1. Connect the 3 O 415 v a.c lines with neutral to mains input terminals.
2. Connect the mains terminals of the motor to the control panel as per
terminal strip moving left to right a1a2,b1b2,c1c2.
3. Switch on the panel mcb.

4. Select the mode of direction for the motor either reverse or forward by
the selector switch ,already labeled on the top of the panel.
5. Then you have to move for the star-delta starter(move the handle of
the starter on start position and then move the handle gently towards
at some position).
6. In mean of the that,when handle of the starter at start position then
motor is running in terms of star connection.
7. In mean of the that when the handle of the starter at run position then
motor is running in terms of delta connection.
8. The handle of the starter will stand still at run position and motor will
be on full operation there.
9. Notedown the current Of the motor by ampmeter.
10.Notedown the input voltage of the machine by the voltmeter.
11.Notedown the r.p.m. of the motor by tachometer.
12.Change the position of the reversal switch.
13.Notedown the reading of the ammeter and voltmeter and measure the
speed by tachometer again.

Precaution: All connection should be connected in correct polarity.

Supply should be switched off while making connection.
Dont touch terminals on panel while supply is on.
All connections should be tight and clean.
