Safety
Proton Prev achieved 5-stars ANCAP safety rating.
The Prev scored well across all ANCAP crash tests which led to the 5 star
safety rating. The Prev is sold as standard with dual frontal; side chest
and side head-protecting (curtain) airbags as well as a range of other
safety features. The new vehicles structure is much improved over
previous Proton models tested by ANCAP.
Comments: It is very important to design a car with better safety. It may
prevent the driver and the passengers from suffering from injuries or even
death. This may lead to the reduction of death tolls of car accidents in our
country, Malaysia.

Welfare
Partnership with international company
In the early of Proton production, Proton was rely on Mitsubishi for
blueprint such as Saga was being inspired by Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore and
Wira was based on Mitsubishi Lancer 4th. In 1996, Proton acquire 80%
stake in Lotus and that stake grew to 100%. After, Proton production in
suspension and handling which produce Satria GTi that widely regraded as
best car ever produced thanks to Lotus contribution. Proton and Lotus has
release their collaboration project of Satria Neo Lotus which produce for
limited numbers as symbol of their cooperation. In 1994, Proton also has
collaboration with Citron for Proton Tiara with aim for diesel engine.
Proton has been juggling around with others car company such as Honda
and Youngman. The company collaboration being helping in Proton
achievement in cars market share.
Comments: As the development of automobile industry in Malaysia is still
not that stable and advance, pair up with international company like
Mitsubishi is one of the best choice. This is a very big achievement as
Malaysian operators or professionals can improve themselves with more
advanced technology and can develop a better automobile industry in the
future.
