A 10 week course designed to enable parents and family
members to use communication methods more effectively with your deaf child. Using sign supported communication as a family will ensure the deaf child does not feel isolated from conversations and can be exposed to new vocabulary and language as much as possiblein the same way a hearing child would be. This course uses Sign Support English (SSE) not British Sign Language as SSE follows the English language structure. Using SSE will be easier for a family to continue speaking and listening as the same time.
