verbal cues to assist the students in understanding
the COTS that will be used during the dance activity.

will be used are dynamic and static stretches.
Students will understand the differences between the
two. The students will also understand the purpose of
raising their heart rates and how to raise their heart
rates. Students will gain a strong sense of
understanding the importance of cooperative learning
during the dance module. Students will also
understand why spatial awareness is important during
busy activities such as dance.

Instant Activity:
Good afternoon class. As you come in
please be seated on a polly spot. For
todays instant activity we are going to
play link tag (the teacher calls a student
to help demonstrate). The way the game
will work is two of your classmates will
be the links. If one of them tags you, link
onto their arm and assist them with
tagging someone else. When you are
tagging someone remember we only use
the two finger tag in Tiger Pride to help
prevent accidents. The key to this game is
communication and team work. I do not
want to see anyone swinging our
classmates around. Are there any
questions? Does everyone understand?
May I have 1 more volunteer? Everyone
on your feet. This game will be played
within the 4 cones that you see placed
around the basketball courts. I need my
two links to stand next to me. When I
blow the whistle, you may start working
on building your links. Ready! (Whistle
blowing).

CLOSURE:
Review: Good Job Tiger Pride! I am so
proud of all of you! Maybe you can take
this dance and teach some of your family
members or do the dance in your schools
talent show. If you want you can look the
dance up on YouTube, but make sure you
ask for your parents/ guardians
permission. Can someone remind me
why dance is now a part of physical
education? Because dance can also be
seen as an exercise but more fun. Yes!
Can someone remind me why it is
important to warm up before getting into
activity? So you dont hurt yourself.
Correct! Can someone remind me why
teamwork and communication is
important? You cant win with just one
person and without communication no
one would know what to do. Great! Wo
knows how to do the Wobble? Great!
Tomorrow, Ms. Lauren will conclude our
second week of Tiger Pride by teaching
you the Wobble. Everyone stand up. This
time instead of us putting our hands in,
were going to do the wobble and say
Tiger Pride, Ready! One, Two, Three,
Tiger Pride!
