Truck Driver
Backing Up to Dock

A 48-year-old truck driver was

backing a delivery box van truck up
to a loading dock. He stopped the
truck with the engine running and
got out to remove a shopping cart
from between the loading dock and
the rear of the truck. He did not set
the parking brake or use chocks. The
truck rolled and he was killed by
being pinned between the rear of the
truck and the loading dock.
