I agree that writing about our literacy narrative is important. As I think back on my first
experiences I can see how much I have not only grown as a reader or writer but also as a person.
It is also necessary to see who helped you along the way. For example, my parents and teachers
have assisted me the most. My parents would read to me as a child and my teachers would
explain to me important tools for reading and writing. Also, it is interesting to see how variables
such as class, gender, and race can affect peoples literacy narratives.
