Your penpal had just send you a letter telling you about his/ her school. He/ She wanted
to know about your favourite teacher at school. Write a reply letter to your penpal
telling him/ her about your favourite teacher at school.
Use the notes below to write the letter.

Read the passage below and answer the question that follows.

Our environment is polluted and endangered. A clean environment is important for a

healthy life, yet some people are not just bothered. It is important to take care of our
environment.
There are the dos and donts to safeguard our environment. Collect old newspapers for
recycling. Do not throw or burn them. Plant trees to beautify the environment. This will also
reduce air pollution. When going to the market or buying things, use baskets instead of plastics
bags. Plastic bags are not environmentally friendly.
Do not burn rubbish in the open air. This will add to air pollution as the air is already so
filthy. People, especially children and old people, are falling sick because they find it hard to
breathe. Throwing rubbish into drains, rivers and seas will cause water pollution which will
lead to the death of marine life.
Therefore, please protect the environment in order to protect ourselves.
