    Thefleetwasusedtosupplyapproximately500mofLNGbyGrupoSousaGslinkGsNaturalS.AtoMadeira
    ElectricityCompanysThermoElectricPowerPlant,CTVIII.
    ThefirstLNGshipmentwasloadedinto14ChartFeroxISOcontainersatSinesLNGTerminalonPortugals
    mainland,andtransportedthroughthePortofLisbonmorethan950kmbysea,beforeafurtherroadjourneyto
    PortugalsnewestsatelliteLNGplantandtheonlyonelocatedonanisland.
    Thisprocessofdeliveringnaturalgastoregionsnotconnectedtoanationalgridisknownasavirtualpipeline.
    Thevirtualpipelinesolutionisfullyflexibleandcanbeadaptedtosuittheislandsfuturepowerdemand.Itutilises
    existingportresources,includingmaritimecargohandling,containershipsinregularcabotage,roads,trucksand
    manpower,anddoesnotrequireanyadditionalportinfrastructureorcapabilities.
    Inastatement,ChartFeroxdescribeditsprideatitsroleinbringingtheenvironmentalandeconomicbenefitsof
    naturalgastotheislandofMadeiraandhowitwouldliketoplaceonrecordourthankstoourprojectpartnersinthe
    GrupoSousaorganisation,withwhomweareabletoaddressallthelogisticalandtechnicalchallengesthis
    pioneeringprojectpresented.
    TogetherwecandeclarethattheLNGvirtualpipelineconceptisnowarealityonMadeira,thecompanyadded.
