PROCEDURE FOR NEW MODULE LAMP & MICROCONTROLLER CARD
LAMP AND METER CARD & I I CONVERTER Lamp and Meter card having 0 1mA output only, so that I I converter is required for to convert the 0 -1mA to 4 20mA, Converter receives DC 0-1mA as input and gives 4-20mA Output Signal which is optically isolated and varies linearly with the input signal. The output of the converter can be directly fed to the PLC or DCS. DRAWBACKS: Required both L & M Card and I I converter. Zero and adjustment in I I converter. Meter Display. The output of L & M card cant be directly fed to DCS. LAMP & MICROCONTROLLER CARD This card was developed for up gradation of existing system to be interfaced with DCS. This card is a 1 to 1 replacement in all aspect except that this has 4- 20 mA signal. The 4 to 20mA output are derived from pin of the PCB connector respectively to DCS directly. Flame intensity is indicated on the Bar graph LED displays. The intensity bar display is calibrated to read zero when a dark furnace (no fire) signal exists and 90 when a maximum level signal is established. ADVANTAGES No need of I I converter. Bar graph display for Intensity. The output (4-20mA) of Microcontroller card is directly fed to the DCS.
CALIBRATION: Trip pot R16 and R20 must be adjusted to set 4-20mA in Lamp & Microcontroller Card. For 4mA output, calibrate R16. For 20mA output, calibrate R20.
