HISTORY OF TILAMBO NATIONAL


HIGH SCHOOL
Tilambo National High School
started its operation June 1970.
During its first year of operation,
it has only two teachers and was
headed by an Assistant Principal.
During that period, it was
only squatting in the elementary
schools site and utilized the
schools facilities. Its first name
was Tilambo Public High School
and

COMMUNITY PROFILE

Socio-cultural
Tilambo belongs to a rural type of community
that is approximately about 4 kilometer away from
the Poblacion. It has a Day Care Center, 1 complete
elementary school and 1 public high school. Some
people depend its water supply from the water
system ran by Tilambo Multi-purpose Cooperative and
others own deep well operated by own electric water
pump. Electricity is through the service of BATELEC II.
Some houses are made of concrete materials; others
are made of bamboo and wood. Basketball court near
the barangay serves as the recreational area
especially during summer.

Political
The barangay is headed by Barangay Captain who
is assisted by 7 Barangay Kagawad, a Barangay
Secretary and a Barangay Treasure. Barangay police
helps in the maintenance of peace and order in the
community. These barangay leaders support school
programs and activities.

Geographical Location

On its North was Mabayabas, East was Bulihan,


South was Bukal and West was portion of Mabayabas
going to Poblacion. It has a total area of 304.4985
hectares. Biggest part of the area is residential and
other parts are for agricultural (farming and livestock
raising). This barangay has three chapels which are
situated in Tilambo Bungad, Tilambo Centro and
Tilambo Pook.

Demography
It has a total household of 490 families and a
total population of 1,961. Only a few high school
graduates pursue college. A big number of high
school graduates work in factories and other work as
helpers in big establishments. Only about 10% of the
population is employed. A big percentage of the
people source of living was livestock raising
.

Economy
Peoples economic sources are cattle, swine and
poultry raising, maintaining small sari-sari store and
barbecue stick making. Others earn a living by doing
carpentry work, labor work (cutting grasses, laundry
and sewing as housemaids).

THIS YEAR

My plan this year is to finish all the requirements and


activity here in BatStateU-Rosario. Im also planning to do
my best to pass/finish our thesis for this year. After this
semester, I will enroll on second semester to finish the
course that Ive started to get.

AFTER GRADUATION
After graduation, I am planning to take Licensure
Examination for Teachers (LET) while I am waiting for the
result of the exam. I am planning to apply first in private
school to have an experience before applying to public
school. I want to teach students in private school for one
year. After that, I will apply in public school in our
barangay. The result came and I passed the exam. I am
teaching grade 9 and 10 students in TLE subject then
while I am teaching in public schools in weekdays, I am
planning to enroll in Masteral Degree. When I am enrolled
in Masters I am planning to study my Masters in
weekends. When I am getting my salary, I will earn money
for the reconstruction of our house and I will support my
sister in her schooling in college. I will also pay all our
debts in our uncle that we called Ninong because he
supported me in my tuition fee in first year and he also
helps my sisters in their studies. I am an item teacher this
year and an adviser of grade 9, section A. After Masteral I
will also apply in college to teach college students as a
part time job.

AFTER FIVE YEARS


After 5 years, I am already had finish the house that I
provide for my family and a car for my father. I already
have a Masteral Degree and I am a teacher in public
school in our barangay. I will give back all the hard work
and sacrifice of my parents. I will also support them in
what course they want even though if it is expensive, I
support them because I wont let them to experience what
I experienced when I am in college. I will give them all
their necessities and needs in schools and at home. I will
be the one who sustain all of the necessities and
expenditures of my family. I will also have a relationship
and we are helping each other in supporting our families. I
am happy that I achieve the entire dream that I want to
achieve.

different activities like sabayang pagbigkas,
vocal solo, vocal duet, slogan, and poster
making contest.

The best teachers teach from the
heart, not from the book.
TEACHING

Molding the young is an incomparable selfless


task of the teacher making them true and
immoral leaders in education. The teachers role
in education is irrevocable. She always is the
most important single element facilitating the
learning process. Teachers are the one who mold
the young with all her heart and soul meets
challenges in the classroom as she interacts with
the students. Good and effective teacher
considers subject matter, panning, methods and
strategies as important tools but takes them as
just secondary, for to her the primary tool she
uses is her unique and individual self. Her
positive and unique helping relationship with her
students inspires, develops and challenges
students
to
strive
for
their
wholesome
development. She interacts in terms of the
students needs and sets aside her own needs
while helping her students. A good and effective
teacher considers knowledge of subject matter
important but does not regard it as the crucial
variable in teaching. She takes into account both
personal and intellectual differences among
students and facilities the learning situation on
this basis. She considers all these needs without
