Students learn to appreciate that differences in beliefs and
perspectives affect how people make food and health choices, and
how they participate in physical activities.
Teacher Aim/Goal
To get student to familiarise themselves with the school food policies and
does it take into account intercultural differences.
Ultimate goal is to get students to pursue changing school food polices
and food provided by the canteen.
Student Learning Aims:
Critique the school food policies and how the food provided by the school
canteen reinforces or contradicts the food policy. Understand the
importance of catering for cultural differences in the school with regards to
food.
LESSON OUTCOMES AND INDICATORS
All students engaged in class discussion.
Student have an understanding of the importance of school polices and
the impact that these policies have on the school and student from
different cultural backgrounds.

canteen staff, and the class agrees to select 5-10 questions to ask. (Socrative

Adaptations/Differentiation
At this point the teacher checks each students progress and decides who needs reteaching, extension, and or independent practice. Beginning practicum: reflection,
Experienced practicum: in planning.
Assistance required: Peer assistance has been planned as a strategy to
assist student through the inquiry project. Teacher to work closely with
groups that are seen to be struggling with class and group work.
