Analysis
Give at least three benefits of doing a survey of available materials before making your own
materials? Explain each.
1. It can make the learning of our students be more effective:
- If our materials are available, we can say that the learning process is effective. Students can
easily get the lesson In the presence of these materials.
2. The flow of the teaching process and learning process of both the students and the teacher is
easier:
- On the part of the teacher, it is easy for her to discuss her lesson because she can explain it in
actual and perform it with the use of these materials. For example, in volleyball, she can easily
demonstrate the proper skill on holding the ball or in spiking. Also, on the part of the students,
they can easily apply it.
3. Less effort and can save time:
- Less effort and can save time because if they are available materials, n need to find them and the
flow of discussion will be continues and it can save the time of discussion.
1. Which of the materials did you like making the most? Why?
For me, the material that I like making most is the PowerPoint presentation because I can do a lot
of things on it. I can put some video, pictures and other styles and I can do a lot of customization.
Most students love PowerPoint presentation in class.
2. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the materials? How did you overwhelm
them?
There was one instance my teacher ask me to do a mock-up of computer. It was difficult because
you need to do it with indigenous and crafting it was not easy. I overcame it with patience and
being resourceful enough.
3. What tips can you give teachers regarding preparation of teaching materials?
Make sure that the materials you are using is appropriate in the class instruction. Prepare and test
the materials before using it in the class. As much as possible, be resourceful enough to save time
and money and also try to use variety of materials so that the class won't get bored.

1. As part of the job of a teacher, making instructional materials for the teaching process is a
must. We must consider the appearance of our instructional materials to be use during
discussion so that our students will become more interested on the lesson. Making my
power point presentation is one of the instructional materials that I like. Why? It is
because it makes my instructional materials be more effective to my students. I also enjoy
making this power point presentation. It allows me to explore more on how to make my
presentation be more creative and attractive in the eyes of my students.
2. In everything we do, we cannot avoid to encounter difficulties. With these difficulties, it
will help us improve and learn what our failures while making projects. As I make my
instructional materials, one of the difficulties I encounter is the availability of computer. It
is because I dont have my own computer. I need to go to the internet caf and make my
presentation and its hard on my part.

3. In preparing your materials for your discussion, teacher must have knowledge on how to
use technology as their instructional materials. Students are more interested to listen if we
use these technology rather than those 2 dimensional materials. Their attention will easily
get. Also, teacher must be creative in making their presentation. The more attractive the
presentation, the greater the impact of the learning. As a whole, it only depends on the
teacher on how he/she delivers their lesson. They should not only depend on their
instructional materials but these instructional materials are only a tool to make their
teaching process be effective.

There are so many so many ways that this hand outs could give out a good features in relations to
ones presentation and this could summarize as follows:

Engage people at a deeper level as they interact with the handout
Keep the audiences attention focused on the subject
Satisfy the needs of visual learners
Introduce experiential material for kinesthetic learners
Present information at both novice and expert levels

Simplify and navigate complex information

Establish credibility
Present more information than can be covered in the presentation
Summarize and review
Which of these features are present in the handout I made?

My Reflections
What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the handouts? How did you overcome
them?
The difficult thing that I did encounter in making the handouts was when I was choosing the
important facet of the subject matter to be included. Its not about putting all the information in
your hand outs, but putting the words with sense. Too much information could burn out the
readers. Doing so might make them think that it is much better to give them a book instead of a
handout.
What tips can you give teachers regarding preparation of handouts?
Making a hand outs is very important in order to give the teachers and the learners a guide that
they could follow while the class is ongoing. Making an outline in relation to this will benefit the
teacher to follow a certain topic in sequence because without it, a teacher might discuss or present
the subject matter in a way that might lead to non- sequential arrangement of the topic that could
lead to confusion on the part of the learners.
