Place - 5 Themes of Geography

Place is one of themes in geography. It helps geographer to know what it is like on
that place. Place has 2 types human and physical characteristics. Place tells us what
it's like, the characteristics that makes it different from others. If you include your
school as a place, then that place would include walls, windows, cafeteria, clothing,
language spoken, books, classrooms, gyms, hallways maps. Place describes human
characteristics of a location. Human characteristics includes land uses like sculpture,
building, skyscraper, architecture to forms of livelihood and religion to food to
transportation and communication networks one of example human characteristics in
Jakarta is religion. According to my chart, Islam is the largest religion in Indonesia.
200 million people that are Muslims that live in Indonesia. Place describes the
physical characteristics of a location. Physical characteristic are natural. For example
mountain, hills, rivers, lake, beaches, animals and plant life like trees of a place and
many more. One of my example works of physical characteristic in Jakarta are,
Temperature in Jakarta. According to my graph, temperature in Jakarta it starts small
at the first 2 months, the next 2 months it goes up, then goes down for 3 months, and
last 4 months goes down. The theme of geography, Place helps geographers
understand the area because place tell us what it is like. I discovered that geographers
and people use place to identify a certain area.

Temperature: The numbers goes down the start of the year
and in June July, August.
Precipitaion: from January to August it goes down from
August to December it goes up.
Religion: The numbers go up when people are born and
they join a certain religion depends on their family it can go
down when people die.
4. What is the overall/main understanding from this source?
Tempature: According to my graph, temperature in Jakarta
