Thawing Frozen Cells

1. Retrieve frozen vial and place in water bath for a few minutes (dont
warm with hands)
2. Add 5 mL of warm media in tube
3. Slowly add all (1 mL) of cells into media at edge
4. Add 5 more mL of media (slowly mix gently 3-4 times)
5. Centrifuge for 4 min
6. Vacuum out media
7. Add 1-2 mL of media depending on pellet size
8. Mix well
500 L media (small pellet) 1 plate
1 mL media enough for 2 plates
