10 Commandments I follow in my life

The ten commandments were originally ten laws or rules given to Moses by God for the
correct order of the people. God desired to secure the original bond he had with the Israelites,
giving them these distinct laws to follow. Even in this BC era each individual followed laws that
they found spiritually, emotionally, politically, and economically correct. Each person has grown
up in a different culture, family and has a different background resulting in each individual
following different commandments in life. I personally follow a specific set of ten
commandments that undoubtedly display my persons beliefs, morals and exert my inner being.
The world we live in today can at times feel almost as if it is impossible to live a
fulfilling life due to a wide quantity of different affairs that occur daily. For one to not get caught
up in material possessions one must at all times be a selfless human. John F. Kennedy once said
Think not of what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. This
quote is pertaining to each persons liberties and how they can use them in a selfless way.
Because what does one gain in only doing things for themselves? In also being a caring
individual one feels the natural need to help others. The true value in the human life lies in a
persons ability to glance past their own needs and know that others also need a helping hand.
Being a teenager, at times it can be hard to simply be yourself. A countless amount of
expectations devised by society for teens to follow can cause one to fall in the trap that is called
peer pressure. One must always stand up for personal beliefs instead of following the crowd. It is
critically important for individuals to know that in having a voice theyre not being dull or
feeble but instead staying true to themselves. When one can completely disregard what others
think or say, one is again exerting their inner being. One is able to express their true art, their true
sense of emotion and freedom.

As humans we were all created equal, no matter the color, size, age a person is. All
throughout history this was fought by civil rights activists like Martin Luther King and Malcolm
X. Their beliefs hold complete truth, the constitution does indeed ensure individuals civil
liberties and personal rights. People must treat others how they desire to be treated. This shows
the true meaning of compassion and love in the world. For teenagers, yes this includes parents.
Parent deserve the utmost respect and loyalty from their children. Although this can be hard at
times, it is not impossible.
In life one must without doubt live with a positive outlook. There is no benefit in living
negatively but in always finding the bright side of things. In having a positive outlook one lives
life to its fullest extent. These are the ten commandments that I follow through out my life that
guide me each day.
