K.K.I.S. Keeping Kids In Schools KKIS is a motto to help promote the importance of school attendance. What KKIS was missing was an insensitive to encourage the students to come to school.
WHO ITS FOR
KKIS is not only for the students but it is also for the teachers, staff, parents and community. In the school system, we work together as a team to give these youth the best education and life lessons.
WHAT IT IS
KKIS is a motto that help promotes
school attendance. I then turned this motto into a project to help promote school attendance year round.
WHERE WILL IT BE
My KKIS project will take place at both
of the elementary school where Im an intern at.
WHEN WILL IT BE COMPLETE
The keeping kids in school project will
start in August and end in June once the students are out of school.
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS
I decided to turn the motto into a
project because the students would learn more and be more interested in something that offers an insensitive for them. The students only seen KKIS as a motto. After the first KKIS project that was conducted at each school, the students were eager to learn when the next activity was.
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS
The school social worker have to find a way
to reach the students to show them that school is not just a place to go 8 hours a day and be away from family and home. The school social worker have to motivate the students to want to come to school. When the students come to school, the teachers, staff, and parents must reward the students. This is one way of keeping the student engaged in their education.
