Assessment:
Students will be graded on a 100 point scale, 25 points for informative content of video, 25
points for use of diagrams, images and other media with voiceover, 25 points for creativity in
filming, and 25 points for overall content.

RAFT Row 2
Objective: You will be able to create an informative, persuasive report about one of the planets
in our solar system, other than Earth. This presentation will be from the mindset of a researcher
who wants to send a satellite to orbit a planet and explore the atmosphere, or an unmanned rover
mission to explore the planets surface. Your job is persuade NASA why the planet you choose
is the best option.

Topic: Choose a planet or dwarf planet from our solar system, other than Earth, and design a
presentation on why a rover mission to the planets surface, or an in depth satellite exploration
including the planets atmosphere.

Directions:
1. Visit NASA link, below in resources, to explore the solar system and choose your planet
or dwarf planet
2. Research information on the planet you have chosen.
3. Use the storyboard worksheet to plan out the slides for your powerpoint presentation.

4. Create your power point presentation using images, videos or interactive features to
convince others as to why your planet should be chosen for a satellite or unmanned
mission
5. Read over your notes while going through your presentation and prepare for presentation
to the class.
6. Present to class.
