Muniz who uses recycled materials to create art
that helps people.

WED NOV 11
TargetStudents will learn about
how contemporary artists used
recycled materials in art making,
and how they can help people at
the same time. They will know
this after being able to
successfully respond to cold-call
questioning about the
documentary.
THURS NOV 12
Learning Target- TSW learn about
how artists have used recycled
materials in art making, and will
start generating ideas for his/her
project. TSW know this when
he/she has identified recycled
material to use and has starting
making the sculpture.

FRI NOV 13
Learning Target- TSW learn how to
put together a recycled piece of
art. TSW know this when his/her
piece is glued/bound together
using either glue, wire or rope.

MON NOV 16TSW learn how to


carefully construct a recycled
piece of art. TSW know this when
each part is attached carefully

Do Now: First, cover tables with sheet. Then, go


to boxes in the back of the room and pick out
about 5 recycled objects to make into a
sculpture. Then,
-Show images of recycled artworks

-Show students the materials I have and how to
safely use glue gun.
-Explain clean up procedures:
1-Turn off surge protector
2-Put back recycled material you want in your
drawer
3-Return recycled materials to back table
4-Clean up scraps from table
5-Take a seat when youre finished cleaning
-Start sketching ideas

Demo reinforcing each part.
