I. Performance Objectives (Learning Outcomes):


The students will orally describe what occurs during the water cycle, through
observing the model and explaining why.
Students will create a bulletin board showing their knowledge of the different
types of clouds.
The students will explain the process of precipitation by producing a rain cloud in
an inquiry and measuring their data through an accurate chart.
The students will differentiate between the various types of precipitation by
discussing and viewing a PowerPoint.
The first grade students will be able to differentiate between the four seasons by
completing the inquiry chart based on the four seasons.
The students will examine the different types of natural disasters by discussing
information in cooperative groups and creating a poster presentation.

IV. Implementation
A. Introduction
1. Teacher will say, Today we are going to review for our test!
2. Teacher will break students into teams to play a jeopardy review game.
B. Development
1. Jeopardy game will have questions pertaining to the unit test.
2. Teacher will have one student from each group choose a category and an
amount and work together with their groups to answer the questions.
3. Students will complete the jeopardy game.

C. Closure
1. Students will take the Unit test.
2. Students will be given an hour to complete the test, and if students finish
early, have them work on homework until hour is up.
D. Accommodations/Differentiation
1. For students who have writing difficulties students will be provided with a
scribe to help them write their answers on the test.
2. For students who have reading/learning difficulties may have extra time to
take their tests.
