On Wednesday. Feoruary 10 and Wednesday, February 24 at 7:50 Pm
Video/Computer Artist In Residence George Lessard will present
lectures and screenings based on his work. Lessard has been
involved in media production for 15 years and nas concentrated in
Video Art fer tne past @ years. He currently lives in Montreal.
Quebec wnere ne works as a freelance Video/Mecia artist in
addition te teacning video production for Community Access TV.
He has also given numerous lectures amd'demonstrations on video
production using Aniputer technalogy.
Qn Wednesday, February 10 at 7:20 PM Lessard will give. a
screening of Videotapes whicn ne produced on Aniputer, a digitat
mage manipulation device. Amongst these will be "Rumble
_ Sphinx," a 12 minute videotape produced in 1987. which won an
° _awarg For_Excellence at the-Tokyo.Video Festival. In addition to
screening his work, Lessard will give a lecture and demonstration
using the Aniputer. On Wednesday, February 24 at 7:50 PM Lessard
will screen videotapes made by members of the Inuit Community in
arctic Quebec. Having taught and worked with the Inuit
extensively in the develonment of a publicly owned and operated
TV facility, ne will be describing. that experience and discussing
various aspects of Canadian Community Access Television.

17, a presentation by Film Historian and Critic Scott MacDonald
