Developmental Education
The Commission recommended:
LCTCS convene all 2 year college developmental education providers in
the state to review and discuss best practices
LDoE conduct early diagnostic assessments to determine if a student
needs intervention or remedial services prior to the senior year.
LCTCS coordinate a review of the developmental course framework
(levels), statewide, and common course/learning outcomes should be
standardized for consistency across the state so that students may
transfer among campuses and the receiving campus can know how to
interpret the student transcripts.
