Strategies and Tips

Always listen to the first word of the
questions, especially for question words
such as who, what, where, etc.
Be careful with the common traps: similarsounding or repeated words, relatedmeaning words.
The questions that you will hear will be of
different types. Try to determine what
type of question is being asked and what
purpose of the question is. Some questions
ask for information but others may be
invitations, suggestions or comments.

Dont expect the question and the answers
to use the same words or the same tenses.
Mark your answers immediately on the
answer sheet.
If you are not sure of any one question,
just skip it and move on with the next one.
Because of its format, its easy to lose
concentration in this part. It is essential
that you practice answering all these 30
questions in one session without breaking
them in several chunks.

give indirect answers:
+ Im not sure.
+ I have no idea.
+ No one knows yet.
+ No one told me anything.
+ It doesnt matter.
+ They have yet to decide.
+ She didnt say.
+ I dont really know.
