Apricot Walnut Squares

1 cup butter
10 oz apricot preserves
8 oz cream cheese
2 cups finely chopped walnuts
2 cups flour
3 tsp sugar
tsp baking powder
Confectioners sugar, and/or cocoa
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter and cream cheese together. Sift flour and baking
powder together. Add to creamed mixture, chill dough. In second bowl, mix preserves,
walnuts and sugar. Roll dough into thick sheets, cut into 2 squares. Place one tsp of
nut mixture into the center of half of the squares. Use remaining squares to top the
filled squares. Press edges together with a fork. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until lightly
brown. Dust with confectioners sugar and/or cocoa.
