RAFT Row 1
Objective: To teach tossing concept in your P.E. classroom with by a set of Index Cards.
Student Role: Follow and Set up easy physical education directions.
Audience: My students in physical educational class.
Format: Informative report to show how process is done.
Topic: Trying to see if you can toss, catch and throw while following a set or index cards set
with the direction on them.
Directions: Set of 18 color, full page index cards/station signs. Visual clues will help
struggling readers remember what to perform at each station.

Assessment:
Each Station requires minimal supplies (bean bags, tennis/yarn balls, target, and wall) and
can be used through your entire tossing, throwing and catching unit with minimal effort and
planning. Each station is worth 25 points each.

Assessment: Identify any individuals who are unable to throw the ball while following
directions, then determine whether the task card needs to be adjusted or if the students need
assistance.

Objective: Throw and catch an object with your hands with a partner 30 times in a row without a

Student Role: Students will form small groups and gather information and collaborate on
presentations.
Audience:Pre K- 5th Grade
Format: Informative text,
Topic: Have youngsters throw and catch with a partner so their partner doesn't have to move to
catch the object thrown
Directions: Each youngster will complete 15 throws and 15 catches for a total of 30.
