Final Reflection

Dear Prof. Intawiwat,

I wrote an essay by the name of I believe in Karma regarding importance of karma for
humans in their lives and educate them about how the concept of karma really affect their daily
lives. I was trying to improve my English, in addition to that, I discovered new concept that will
help me realize what I do today will have an impact on tomorrow. Peer editing and did help in
revising the concept of essay and it resulted in evolution of final version of essay. Besides this, I
also focused on my mistakes and remained committed to resolve it. The part of essay that I
consider fun is that it was my reflecting my very own experience about life and karma.
I did five journals, the first journal we had to write narrative story using a prompt, I wrote
a narrative story about a friend of mine. Journal two we created six-word memoirs it was the
easiest journal. Journal three I wrote a complaint letter to my congressman about an issue going
on right now, I chose to write about socialism. In journal four we wrote about best and worst
sources. In the last journal, which is journal five I reported to the professor, what I have found
out about my topic and the sources. I did the extended inquiry project by following all steps that
is brainstorming, proposal, annotated bib, reflection, and essay is the final step. At beginning of
the project, we watch a movie in the class Into the Wild after that we started doing the project
step by step. In brainstorming we considered what we knew about the subject. In proposal we
collected the answers and readings after that we did a research then we wrote an essay that
discussed our findings and understandings. This project was not easy but I worked hard on it by
understanding each step.

The most challenging part for me was doing the extended inquiry for which we had to go
through many steps including watching movie in the class. The second step was doing
brainstorming followed by writing proposal. The next step was writing annotated bibliography
which was the most difficult step because we had to use specific sources. I found the sources
after intensive research and was able to write annotated bib and reflection. The final step was
writing the essay.
I like the activity Peer Editing of all the activities we do in the class. It is because when
I switch my work with my classmates for their feedback, it really helps me to improve my
English as I am an international student and studying English as second language. I have
struggled a lot to bring improvements in my English. Sometimes I dont get the lessons taught in
the class and ask questions from my teacher. Some of my questions make my teacher think that I
am stupid but I really get confused sometimes in the class.
My writing assignments have taught me many new things, which I havent experienced
before. For Example I learned how to create a website for which we used a website builder site
called weebly and posted everything we did in the class i.e. journals, essays, extended inquiry
project and reflections. I also learned how to write proposal and letter of journals as I have
written 5 journals about different subjects in this semester. I have included all my assignments in
my E-Portfolio.
