- The scholars agree that the names of the surahs are Tawqeefiyyah which means they were
given to them based on revelation.
- There are some surahs which were given more than one name by the Prophet.
Example:
1- Al-Fatihah

was called: Umm Al-Quran ( Mother of the Quraan) and As-Sab3u-l : it is also called Baraaah
( Freedom From All Obligations)
