students continue practicing this
objective, since they I already
showed mastery. I will make this
the summative assessment item
that corresponds to this objective,
since students already showed
mastery of the content/skill.
Therefore, when I am grading
these students test I will
automatically give them a score of
3 on the item number that
corresponds with this objective.

I did not differentiate instruction enough


during this lesson to meet the learning
needs of these students.

Since there are only 3 students


who have not yet mastered this
interim assessment/objective, I
will re-teach this lesson to these
three students in a small group
when time permits later in the
unit. I will also offer these three

before school, after school, or

In the future, if students show
mastery on the formative
assessment, I will not make them
sit through the lesson about the
content they already know. Thus,
if they have already showed
mastery, I will allow them the
opportunity to explore other
features of Google Earth, and
present that feature to the class
at the end of the lesson. I will note
to the whole class that displaying
this feature on the interim
assessment or summative
assessment qualifies for a 4,
going above and beyond.
