Comparison of Islam and Christianity
Islam and Christianity are the two most common religions in the world.
Christians believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and also consider him the Son of God.
Christians believe that the Christ will come back to the world near the end of the
world. Islam is a religion which is based on the idea of one God, Allah. Muslims are
people who believe in the oneness of God and consider Mohammad as a messenger of
God. Both Christianity and Islam are monotheistic Abrahamic religions but they are
different in certain ways.
Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God. However, Muslims believe in
one God known as Allah. He has no children and no parents and no one is equal to
God. He is the Creator of the entire universe and He has existed since the beginning
of time. For Muslims, Jesus is the messenger of God and every Muslim must believe
this. Both Muslims and Christians believe that Mary is the mother of Jesus and she
was a pious woman who was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus without a father
through the command of God. Both Muslims and Christians accept previous prophets.
Bible is the book of the Christians and they do not believe in other books. On
the other hand, Muslims believe in all the other books of the previous prophets. They
believe in the Torah that was sent to Moses and Zaboor that was sent to David and
also the Bible that was sent to Jesus Christ. However, Muslims follow the Holy Quran
which was sent to Prophet Mohammad and it is considered the final word of God.
Muslims do believe in the previous three books but the Quran tells them that those

books have been tampered and their original version is not available anymore. Those
books must be respected except for the words that contradict the words of the Quran.
Christians think that Quran is the copy of the Bible which was created by
Mohammad. For Muslims, Quran is the last book sent to people of the world.
Muslims believe that Allah Himself guards the book thus it cannot be tampered by
any human being. No one can write anything like the Quran and it will be safe till the
Day of Judgment and keep guiding humanity.
Christians have different beliefs about Prophet Mohammad. Some think that
he was not pious. Others think he was a liar and False Messiah. On the other hand, a
Muslim cannot be Muslim unless he testifies that Mohammad is the messenger of
Allah. He spread of the word of Allah and taught people how to live life. He
performed many miracles during his lifetime to make people believe in Allah.
Christians believe that God sent Jesus for dying on the cross and to save the
humanity from the sins of Adam. Christians think that Jesus made this sacrifice for the
people of the world. Muslims also believe that Jesus is the messenger of God who was
sent to the Jews for returning them to the true religion of Moses and to free them of
several rules that made their life difficult. Christians believe that Jesus gave life to the
dead, healed the blind and the lepers. Jesus could do all these things because he was
the son of God. Muslims also believe that Jesus did all those things with the will of
God just like Noah, Moses and all the other prophets since the beginning of the world.
Muslims believe that Jesus was saved by God who raised him up. Christians think
Jesus was tortured and killed very painfully by the Jews. Muslims think that Jesus was
not given over to the Jews but God made it appear to them and Jesus was saved by
being raised up unto Himself.

Christians believe in the second coming of Jesus which occurred during the
lifetime of the first disciples. Prediction of his second coming has been done many
times. Muslims also believe that Jesus has not died and he was raised up into the
heaven and he will come back to Earth before the world comes to an end for killing
the False Messiah and for establishing peace and righteousness in the world.
Muslims believe that Jesus will break the cross and call people to Islam.
Christians believe that sin of Adam has been inherited by every person and
this sin can only be erased by the sinless offspring of God. No one is pure but one can
be saved by believing in the life and death of Jesus. Muslims do not believe in any
such thing. They believe that every man is the Creation of God and deserves heaven
unless he disobeys Him and refuses His mercy. The sins of all people can be forgiven
by Allah. He loves people and wants to forgive them. For achieving Gods rewards
people should have faith in Him. Christians believe in the path to salvation. They
think that Adams sin cannot simply be forgiven by wanting it. In fact, it was
important to erase it with the blood of a pious man and that man was Jesus. On the
other hand, Muslims think that Adam agreed that he committed sin and asked God for
His forgiveness and God forgave him. Similarly, every person can seek Gods
forgiveness and there is nothing more pleasing to God than to forgive those who seek
sincere repentance.
Islam and Christianity have thousands of followers worldwide. Christians
believe that Jesus is the son of God and he sacrificed his life to save mankind. They
believe that God sent Bible to Jesus. On the other hand, Muslims believe in one God,
Allah and Mohammad is the messenger of Allah. Allah sent Quran to Mohammad
which is the word of God. Both religions have several similar and several different
faiths but these beliefs may vary by region or sect.
