    createandappreciatevisualaestheticsmaybemoreimportantthanevertothedevelopmentofthe
    nextgenerationofchildrenastheygrowup.

    DevelopmentalBenefitsofArt

    MotorSkills:Manyofthemotionsinvolvedinmakingart,suchasholdingapaintbrushorscribbling
    withacrayon,areessentialtothegrowthoffinemotorskillsinyoungchildren.Accordingtothe
    NationalInstitutesofHealth,developmentalmilestonesaroundagethreeshouldincludedrawinga
    circleandbeginningtousesafetyscissors.Aroundagefour,childrenmaybeabletodrawasquare
