Teacher 9A Student Contract

Created by the students, for the students!

As a Teacher

I will form groups where there is a variety of ability and student work ethic. I will try to
allow students to work in groups with friends if they are working well together.
I will give students more severe punishments when they are not following classroom
rules.
I will give the option to complete textbook work rather than other activities if students
feel they will learn better from this.
I will reward students who are working hard and helping their peersi.e. candy,
possible star chart!
I will try to place blame for talking on the appropriate student(s).
I will try to be true to my word, especially surrounding homework.
I will try to include more engaging activities in class time.
I will try to track warnings better, and keep students accountable for a week, rather
than a day.
I will try to find more interactive games for students to complete

As a Student

I will not talk to others when I am supposed to be listening or working. If someone is

talking to me when they are not supposed to, I will ignore them or ask them to be quiet.
I will take responsibility for my actions and not blame others.
I will complete all classwork and homework for their due date!
I will pay WAY MORE attention in class.
I will try my best and take responsibility for my learningtake home my work, study for
tests, come in for extra help.
I will be respectful to myself, my peers, my teachers, and property.
I will offer to help my peers.

If as a student of this classroom, I decide to break this contract, I will accept the
consequences, which will include the following:

Students will be held accountable for the entire weeki.e. if they use up their strikes,
they only get one before being removed from the classroom or other consequence.
Strike 1- Verbal warning
Strike 2- Moved to a different desk (desk of shame)
Strike 3- 15 minutes at lunch or after school
Strike 4- Removal from the room. Possible sentence to the office and/or possible phone
call home.

Are going to work hard to follow the student contract in an effort to make our classroom
a healthier learning environment
Will accept the consequences if you fail to do so.
