OBJECTIVE
I am currently enrolled at Christopher Newport University. I enjoy working with other people and I have a lot of
experience doing so. I am active in our community by volunteering my time to many different events and
organizations. I have graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program (IB). This curriculum allows for
learning at a much higher level, prepares me for college, and helps me to balance time with my life schedule. My
objective for the future is to graduate from medical school and become involved in pediatric surgery.
EXPERIENCE/ VOLUNTEERING
Target, Richmond, VA 2015- Current
Working as a target team member. I am responsible for assisting costumers when needed, answering phone calls, and
restocking the sales floor.
Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA 2015 Current
Transportation and Emergency Department assistant/ volunteer. We are responsible for moving patients around the
hospital for their medical testing such as MRIs or CAT scans. We are also involved in patient care, the running of
labs, and overall discretion of patient conditions.
Headliners Dance Co, Ashland, VA 2013-14
Instructor of children in the modern genre dance class. This prepares them for their upcoming competition season.
Ages range from 11-13. This class also teaches them more advanced modern skills that will be beneficial in the
future.
Atlee High School, Cool Spring Elementary School, Washington Henry, and Chickahominy Middle School,
Hanover, Va 2013 (Summer)
Assisting in work around the school and class registration. Around the school, small tasks such as cleaning up a
classroom at the end of the year, organizing book fair, and guiding students around the school. Also I assisted with
class registration in August at Cool Spring and Atlee High School.

Washington Henry Elementary: I helped to hand out concessions after Reading Olympics event, and
also assisted with the organization of books for the book fair (May, 2013). More recently, I helped to
stuff envelopes for all of the students of Washington Henry. These envelopes were contained
orientation information. ( August, 2013)
Cool Spring Elementary: I helped with organization of information for the incoming kindergarteners.
This was done by preparing bus notes/ passes, bundling bully pamphlets, and counting out wrist bands.
I also ran a table at orientation where fee sheets and PTA forms were handed out. (August, 2013)
Atlee High School: I ran the table of schedules with a couple other volunteers at class registration.
(August, 2013)
Chickahominy Middle School: I helped to guide rising 6th graders around the school in a program
called Charger Camp. During this program, we taught them what it was like to be in middle school by
taking them to a class, allowing them to meet teachers, and participate in activities. (August, 2013)

Macys Virginia Center Commons, Glen, Allen VA 2012-13


Volunteered at Macy's modeling prom dresses in the Juniors Clothing Department to give a visual and to encourage
people to buy. Assisted with Beauty Week by running an activity with giveaways in the cosmetics and fragrance
department
Hanover Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC), Hanover, VA -2011-13
Saturday Sitters: We were charged with babysitting children with various disabilities. (i.e. Autism and Down
syndrome) They ranged in age from 1-12. This program allows parents of these children to have a night out.
PetsMart at Virginia Center Commons, Glen Allen, VA 2011-12

Charged with walking dogs and encouraging people to adopt the animals
Upward Cheerleading, Hanover, VA -2011-12
Volunteered to teach cheerleading to 1st and 2nd graders. This included teaching basic steps, coming up with practice
schedules, coordinating snack, game, and practice times/ schedules with parents.
