Popular music when my ancestors lived in their various countries,

(1700s) was mostly worship music at church.

Opera was fairly popular in Denmark at that time.

From the first know musicians in my family, the favored genres were
worship, folk, and Classical music. There is one instance where jazz
music is mentioned as a preferred genre.
