5. Materials:
Fake glasses

Video: Sight! A 5 Senses Sing-Along
6. Pre-lesson assignments and/or prior knowledge:
Students will have learned about the Sense of Sight the day before.
7. Lesson Beginning:
Students will be given their fake glasses.
Students will be reminded that when they have their glasses on, they are to be serious
and not fooling around with the glasses.
Students are also to be reminded that they are to have their listening ears on when the
guest speaker is presenting.
8. Instructional Plan:
The teacher will tell the students that today they are having a special visitor coming into
the classroom.
The guest speaker will then enter the classroom to give a presentation on what she
does for a living, how she uses her sense of sight, and other various topics that guest
speaker wants to talk about.
o Differentiation:
There is no differentiation needed for this lesson. If problems arise, the teacher will find
a solution to better fit the student.
o Questions:
Questions the students will ask to the guest speaker:
Why do you like eyes?
Why do we have different color eyes?
Is sight your favorite sense?
Why do you like working with eyes?
What is your favorite thing to do at work?
o Instructional Management:
Students will be given the fake glasses before the guest speaker comes in.
Students will sit in their rows.
o Transitions:
There are no transitions in this lesson as the students will sit in their rows.
9. Closure:
After the presentation, the guest speaker will read the book Brown Bear, What Do You
See?
The students and teachers will thank the guest speaker for coming into the classroom.
The teacher will then give the guest speaker a thank you card.
The teacher will then play the song, Sight! A 5 Senses Sing-Along
