Task 1:
Tell students story about the number 9.
Ask them to count the object and write the numbers.
Show them the cards and ask them what is this number.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)


Listen and circle the number.
Materials:
Prepare different small boards for students. This board have different pictures and line to
write the number.
Instructions:

The teacher will say circle the picture that has 9 dots.

Students will count each picture to be able to find the correct picture.

Finally, they will circle the correct picture and write the number.

How it will help both students and teacher?


Students:
Motivate them to learn because it combines fun and learning.
Capacity to count and distinguish between the numbers. .
Teacher:
Assess her students
Observe her students while counting and improve their mistakes if they
have.
Independent Experience (small group activity 1) this activity will be for two
groups.
Model the numbers. This activity will be for two groups
Materials:
Different objects, for example, colored papers, sticks, glue, plastic plate.
Instructions:
Each student will have a plastic plate, they will model any number they want. For
example, if they will choose number 5. They will model number five by pasting 5
sticks on the plate.
After finishing modeling the number they will write it on the plate.
How this activity will help the students:
This activity will help them in counting, writing the number, model and distinguish
between the numbers.
Also, it combines fun and learning.
Independent Experience(small group activity 2)
Fill the bottle.
Materials:
Plastic bottles and small balls.
Instructions:
Each student will have a plastic bottle, each bottle has different numbers.
The Student will put the small balls inside the bottle depending on the numbers
that stuck in their bottle. For example, if Aishas bottle is number four, she will fill
the bottle with four balls.

Closing
Make a short review by asking students to say the numbers again.
Ask them to model number 9. For instance ,they will draw nine birds.

Assessment
While students doing the activity I will walk around to observe their counting .In addition, I will
ask them Oral question, such as, what is this number ? . Moreover, I will provide appropriate
feedbacks for them and improve their learning.
Reflection:
what went well:
Using several strategies to deliver the concept for students such as, song , story and
the basketball game. These strategies made students motivated , engaged,
participated and understand the lesson.
Prepared different activities for students and it support their learning and make
them challenged.
Monitor students and notice who have problem with counting. Also, helping them
who faced problems in counting by telling them to point to the object and I observed
them until they were able to do it.
Students were paying attention because they want to get stickers.
Even better if:

Manage the time because the class finished and I did not complete the books with students. That happened
because the tasks in their book were a lot and some questions were repeated.

Next step in teaching and learning:


Manage the time to be able to finish students book by doing less activities If I have
time I will do the extension activities.
Use songs and story to support students learning.
Monitor students while doing the activity ,help who faced problem and assess them.
Model the activity several times.
