Closure: Reflect on the enjoyment of the activity, and what they enjoyed about it.
Ask them about any difficulties they may have had, and discuss the answers that
they came up with.
Side note: If planning on baking the seeds after, allow each group to take turns
washing seeds while the rest of the class engages in centers.
Assessment:
A good way for the teacher to perform an assessment of the activity would be to
walk around the class as the students engage in the activity. While walking around
the teacher can listen to conversations that they may have regarding the activity,
and observe difficulties that students may be having whether it be one student or
multiple. At the end the teacher can gather all of the students on the carpet and ask
them to reflect on the activity.
