Lesson Plan for Alphabet (V)

Introduction:

-Blackboard
-Marker
-2 letter card (upper and lower
case)

10 minutes

1- Teacher tells the students the


alphabet that will be taught
(V) by showing the the letter
cards.
2- Teacher writes on the board
the shape of the alphabet (V)
both upper and lower cases
(V) & (v).
3- Teacher repeats number (2) by
drawing arrows to show how
to write the alphabet.
4- Teacher asks the whole class
to pronounce the alphabet (V)
repeatedly ( 3-5 times).

5- Teacher teaches how to


pronounce the alphabet /v/.
6- Teacher introduces the /v/
sound by using example of
Van (using the picture
provided).
7- Teacher repeats the example
several times.
8- Teacher asks the students to
pronounce the sound (the
whole class).
9- Teacher randomly picks 3
students to pronounce the /v/
sound.
10- Teacher uses other example of
words that start with the
alphabet (V) using the picture
cards.
- Vest

11- Teacher tells the meaning of
every word written on the
picture cards :
Vest (Vest) a type of cloth,
people wear to cover the
upper body.
Vase- (Pasu) Open container
to hold flowers.
Vacuum- (Vakum) A machine
to clean dirt.

Teacher tests the students

Ice Cream Letter Match
game.
Teacher distributes the upper
parts of ice-cream that consist
of upper case alphabet (V) to
each student.
Teacher asks the students to
pronounce the alphabet
written on the piece.
Teacher asks the students to
produce the sounds of the
written alphabet (/v/)
Next, teacher distributes the
lower parts of ice-cream that
consist of lower case alphabet
(v) to each student.
Repeat number (3) & (4).
Teacher asks the students to
combine the pieces into a
picture of ice cream.

Read Together:
1- Teacher shows the letter
cards once again to the
students and asks them to
pronounce.
2- Teacher shows the picture
cards once again and says
the words written together
with the students.
3- Teacher plays a song

entitled ABC Song- The


Letter V, Very V and
invite the students to sing
along.
