Group Project
11/21/2015
My following work will consist of some of the concepts I have learned in my
statistics class. This project was about each member of the class had to buy a 2.17 ounces
bag of skittles, then we have to get all candies on each bag together and work with the
data, some of the work that Im going to practice on this project will be the five number
summery, charts, confidence interval and hypothesis test. I will first going to present my
data then I will introduce the class data.

Total number of skittles by color

As I was putting the date together of the class I notice that there is really big difference of
color on each bag, for instance I was expecting someone in the class to have the same
exactly data base of candies as me, but it turn out to be the no one in the class has the
same amount of candies by color. The most common color on the bags of candies seem to
be purple and the most common color in bag was yellow.

Summary statistics: Candies in each bag.

Reflective writing
My statistic class has taught me things that I never ever in life thought were possible, for
instance this project (skittle project) helped me relies how math implies in our lives every
single day. Now I can say that I know the rules and the steps in how to conduct a random
sample survey about almost any issue or topic. I also learned how to con conduct a
hypothesis test to support a claim and how to set a conclusion best on the results.
Moreover I also learned to recognize and built graphs such as pareto, pie and histograms
graphs.
Thanks of this class (statistic) when Im watching the news or a hear about the minimum
sample size, percentages of confidence or merging of error I will know and understand
what they may be talking about. Statistic is always about probabilities, which made it
more difficult for me; this was my very first statistic class I have ever taken in my life
and I am very satisfy with the results of my learning process through this class.
This project also taught me that working in a group can work as long as the group
members show responsibility and motivation to help each other in the group, one of the
things that rally impressed me was that teaching someone else what you know, helps
yourself to get even.

I will never forget what I have learned in this course because I would always be
practicing in my life.
