Classroom culture and context
Observe the classroom climate and answer the questions
below.
1. Is the classroom climate purposeful and task orientated? Give an
example.

The classroom climate was purposeful and task orientated


because the students cooperated with each other in order
to achieve their given tasks. Also, they knew how to finish
the tasks and what they are required to do.

2. Is the classroom climate relaxed, warm and supportive? Give an


example.

The teacher supported students by giving them examples


to know how to answer. So, they felt relaxed because they
understand and also, because of her help.

3. Does the classroom climate have a sense of order? Give an


example.

The class was organized, because the students aware of


the rules and plans that they have to be followed. They
are sitting in lines and during snack time they are
standing on order.

4. How did the teacher build on intrinsic motivation?

The teacher told the students about the importance of


education in order to build intrinsic motivation and help
them learn more.

5. How did the teacher build on extrinsic motivation?


-

The teacher build extrinsic motivation through charts,


data show and purposeful short movies. That helped them
to understand more effectively.

6. What sort of relationship did the teacher have with the students? For
example, was there mutual respect and rapport, did the teacher act
as a good example, did s/he use humor?

There was love relationship. The teacher sat in the middle


and the students around her. Also, she used humor to
enjoy her students.

7. Describe the classroom appearance in terms of the layout. What did


you like not like about it and why? What would you change or not
change and why?

It doesnt need to be changed because its appropriate for


their age. It has different areas. Also, there was a spate
place as dining room.

- Yes, she praised quiet students. She honored them by
giving them prizes.

- Active learning, because it gives good students big
chance to help their friends.
3. Was there anything that could have been done differently?
- She told one of special needs students to sit in the back
of the class. She should give him a chance to get involved
or take him to sit around her.
